Lots of secrets come out, especially the fact, that Elena had a child, a little girl - Vicky, when she was real young. Now, however, Henry feels a need to reconnect, and so does Elena. It seems both are holding resentments from childhood which has driven them apart. While being attended to, he calls out for his sister, Elena, with whom he has a somewhat tenuous relationship. As he is speaking, Rios suffers a heart attack. The book opens with Rios in Appeals Court getting ready to deliver his brief. ![]() And finally, there is justice in the end, albeit, a somewhat unhappy ending.
